Brent is a dynamic and experienced strategist, product innovator, marketer and leader. At SmokeJumper Strategy, he has led over 30 projects with leading Internet and software companies. His work has focused on:

- Innovation. Product strategy and directing the development of new software products and Internet properties.
- Market Success. Planning and leading successful product launches and driving demand for products and services by leveraging online marketing tools, techniques and technologies.
Prior to founding SmokeJumper Strategy, Brent was Vice President of Marketing at Apple, where he lead the turnaround of PowerSchool, a K-12 student information system, through product innovation and marketing.
Previously, Brent was Executive Director at AOL and Netscape, where he:
- Invented “AOL Communicator”
- Redeveloped “You’ve Got Pictures”
- Created the Internet’s #1 Automotive sites
- Led the Enterprise Client product team
- Held positions in Market Development and Strategic Planning.
Brent’s first career experience was as a Smokejumper, parachuting into forest fires in Canada’s North.
He is the founder of Organic Wine Review and co-owner of Savvy Cellar Wine Bar & Wine Shop.
Brent holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and a BA from Queen’s University.
